Alcoa sets bauxite supply deal to China

The latest deal signed means the company will supply a total 2.2m tonnes bauxite to customers across China in 2017. Bauxite will be sourced from its Huntly mine in Western Australia.

Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals (AWAC) has secured a third-party deal to supply 400,000 tonnes bauxite from its Western Australian mine to customers in China, the company has announced.
