Shandong Haihua 2016 soda ash profit hit by leaking accident

The accident experienced by the soda ash producer, which caused up to $53m worth of damage, could leave a dent in its 2016 profit. However higher glass consumption owing to a revival in China's real estate sector are driving soda ash values upwards.

Shandong Haihua Group, a major Chinese soda ash producer, has announced that its annual profit could be severely impacted by a leaking accident that occurred in January 2016.
