Imerys to investigate Afghan talc supply

The company announced it will reassess its talc supply channels from Afghanistan and Pakistan to ensure that none of the material has links to Taliban insurgent groups operating locally.

French industrial minerals group Imerys S.A. will launch an investigation to assess the conditions of its talc supply from Pakistan and Afghanistan following media reports alleging that the company sources the mineral from Taliban-controlled areas.
