Weak fertiliser prices slash ICL’s Q4 income

Tel Aviv-based ICL reported lower Q4 2016 income as weak fertiliser prices continued to pressure financial performance, despite record potash sales volumes.

Potash and fertiliser producer Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) Q4 income plunged 67% year-on-year (y-o-y) to $32m as lower fertiliser prices continued to offset record potash sales volume, the company said 15 February.      

ICL produces approximately one-third of the world’s bromine, and is the sixth largest potash producer....
