Antimony trioxide prices soar as shutdown fears rise

Prices of the flame retardant mineral shot up by around 11% this week amid worries that government environmental inspections would target Hunan province, China’s antimony capital.

Spot prices for antimony trioxide in China, Europe and the US rocketed over the week to 23 February, according to an IM market assessment.
