Brown fused alumina spreads widen amid supply concerns

Spreads have widened on brown fused alumina spot prices over the past two weeks but concerns over further production disruptions in China are supporting the market.

The reported price range on China-origin brown fused alumina (BFA) widened in recent weeks as production resumed following the Chinese new year holiday or Spring Festival. 

Market participants noted, however that supply remained tight and that further disruption worries exist in China.
