Emerging markets drive profits for Saint-Gobain

The construction sector stabilised in France after years of decline but, while both Europe and North America posted improvement, it was in Asia and emerging markets where the highest organic growth was seen.

French-headquartered building materials provider Saint-Gobain SA posted growth in revenue and income in 2016 on the back of strong sales in flat glass, high performance materials (HPM) and some construction product lines.
