Southern Ionics aims for April start to ATH facility

The company has been distributing wet ATH to a number of customers and is now preparing to add dry hydrate to its portfolio as its facility approaches opening.

US chemicals manufacturer Southern Ionics Inc. (SII) is gearing up to start operating its drying facility to process alumina trihydrate (ATH), as customers are eager to find new suppliers following capacity closures last year, the company told IM.

SII is expecting to bring its new drying plant online by mid-April....
