Fresh wave of anti-pollution shutdowns in China to hit alumina supply

Local governments in Chinese provinces Henan and Shanxi have imposed a new round of strict production stoppages impacting fused alumina and bauxite output, following massive shut downs seen last year. This is set to further reduce supply, which was already tight from months of disruption and it is widely anticipated to impact prices.
