US Senate repeals BLM Planning 2.0 rule

The rule was criticised by the oil and gas sector, which expressed concerns that planning and development of resources would become more time consuming. The repeal of the rule will now go to the US president for his signature.
The US
Senate has overturned the Bureau of Land
Management’s (BLM) Planning 2.0 rule for the
development of domestic oil and natural gas resources on public
lands.
The rule was repealed by a vote of 51 to 48 and will now go
to president Donald Trump for his signature....
