ACF lays off mine staff as low iodine price pinches

The Chilean miner has released the mining staff at its Lagunas iodine operation, stopping primary iodine extraction at the site, as a low price dynamic in the mineral continues to cause producers to struggle.

Chilean iodine producer ACF Minera SA has reportedly laid off the entire mining staff at its Lagunas operation in northern Chile, as low iodine prices continue to pressure producers.
