Bauxite & Alumina ’17: Monolithics to continue growth trend

Unshaped refractories are expected to gain further traction in emerging markets, while penetration in mature markets will be slow, according to leading refractories producer Calderys.

The monolithic refractories sector continues to expand as users look for improved flexibility, less downtime and better performance, John Maxwell, general manager at Calderys, told delegates at the 23rd IM Bauxite and Alumina conference, held in Miami last week.
