Iofina lowers H1 iodine production forecast

Iofina, the US-based iodine and iodine speciality chemical derivatives producer, has lowered its H1 2017 production forecast after reassessing the anticipated performance of its plants.

Iodine producer Iofina expects to produce slightly less iodine in H1 than had been previously expected due due to lower availability of brine at its IOsorb plant IO#3.

The company now expects to produce between 215-230 tonnes in H1 2017, down from the previously anticipated 235-255 tonnes of crystalline iodine. ...
