Chinese supply decline could destabilise European silicon carbide market

While the European silicon carbide market has been fairly stable in recent months a reduction in Chinese output and exports is threatening to put an end to that stability, suppliers in Europe told IM.

European suppliers of silicon carbide have seen an uptick in inquiries recently due to lower availability of Chinese material.

This comes as silicon carbide prices in Europe have remained relatively steady in recent months, within a price range of €1,800 to €2,100/tonne DDP Europe for FEPA 8-220 Green min 99.5%...
