China clamps down on tax evasion

Beijing has intensified efforts to clamp down on tax evasion on industrial minerals imports and exports to and from China.

A new wave of government checks on import and export documents to ensure tax is paid has been enforced in recent weeks.

China’s state administration of taxation (SAT) announced on 20 April that some provinces in the country have started random checks on tax collection.
