Chinese state agencies co-operate to combat tax evasion, minerals smuggling

Following an announcement by the Chinese tax authority to clamp down on import and export checks on 20 April, three different government bodies have signed an information sharing agreement as part of Beijing’s intensifying efforts against illegal smuggling activities and tax evasion.

China custom, state administration of taxation (SAT) and the state administration of foreign exchange have signed a framework agreement to speed up the exchange of information across the three departments under Beijing’s clamp down on illegal smuggling activities and tax evasion.
