Chemical chromite market drops over 30% on low demand

Months of slow trading activity have taken its toll on prices for chemical grade chromite, which have fallen over $150/tonne this month, while foundry sand remains stable.

Pricing levels for chemical grade chromite have nosedived this past week on the back of a combination of factors including low demand, high stocks and falling metallurgical prices.
