Higher potash, bromine sales lift ICL's Q1

Following losses last year, Tel Aviv-based ICL reported higher earnings in Q1 due to higher sales volume in bromine products and potash.

Fertiliser producer Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) net income during Q1 increased by 3% year-on-year (y-o-y) as strong bromine business and higher potash sales volume support earnings.  

ICL’s Q1 net income rose to $68m compared with $66m during the same period in 2016, the company said on 10 May.   ...
