Low prices continue to dent Iofina’s profitability

The company believes iodine prices may increase somewhat during 2017 on the back of higher demand and production cuts in Chile.

Iodine producer Iofina saw an improvement in revenues during 2016 but also a deepening of its net loss, which rose to $3.66m by year-end, the company announced in its latest results.

Revenues for the year increased 11% to $22.5m, while gross profit stood at $2.7m for the period....
