Falling shipments of fluorspar out of China

Lower availability of fluorspar is leading to reduced exports, while prices of downstream fluorspar materials rose significantly as supply reduced.

China exported 15,062 tonnes of fluorspar (CaF≤97%) in April, down 10% year-on-year (y-o-y) and 27% month-on-month (m-o-m), latest customs data shows.

The average export price of the commodity was $229.12/tonne, down 8% y-o-y but up 2% compared with January. Top destinations included South Korea, Indonesia, Finland, Taiwan, Japan,...
