Spreads tighten on European silicon carbide prices

Spreads have tightened on European FEPA grade silicon carbide prices while refractory grades have witnessed a slight increase due to stronger Chinese prices.

Higher Chinese prices are behind a slight increase in refractory grade silicon prices while consumers and producers of silicon carbide FEPA grades have seen a relatively stable market, as the majority of material is traditionally traded under long term contracts.
