Baker Hughes, GE merger clears anti-trust hurdle

Baker Hughes's deal with General Electric is granted regulatory approval after anti-monopolies scrutiny sunk a similar deal with Halliburton last year.

The merger of General Electric’s oil and gas business with the oilfield services group Baker Hughes cleared a significant hurdle as the US Department of Justice approved the deal.
