Chemical chromite prices slide further

The market for chemical-grade chromite remains weak, while the enforcement of new limitation measures on chromium chemical end-markets in China are expected to put additional pressure on raw material demand.

Prices of chemical-grade chromite have declined further, following continued volatility in metallurgical chrome ore and persistent low demand in China.

Further pressure from the central government on the chemicals and tanning agents end-markets within China is also thought to be dampening demand from chromite consumers in the country.
