A survey of mining companies found a marked regional divergence, with China and India pushing exploration, while miners elsewhere focus on extraction and efficiency

Mining companies are bullish on the idea of technology disrupting mineral exploration although, in practice, most are more interested in increasing efficiency and capitalising on their existing resources, rather than uncovering new deposits, according to a latest survey.
