Chemical chromite price moves down again

Chemical chromite lost another $10/tonne on the spot market but sellers see a gradual pickup in demand, which they hope could lead to price improvement in the coming weeks.

Spot prices of chemical grade chromite have dwindled further this past week, with the material losing slightly against previous levels, according to an IM 4 July assessment.

Market participants in conversation with IM spoke of demand improving from China, the single largest buyer of chemical chromite.
