Foundry grade chromite price weakens

The material moved after months of stability at the high levels reached at the end of last year, falling $30 due to competition in Europe, market participants said.
Meanwhile South African chromite production decreased 19% in April while total sales from the country rose 67% month-on-month.
The volatility that has characterised the metallurgical and
chemical chromite markets has eventually come to affect foundry
grade chromite as well, with prices declining this week.
