Imerys ups revenue, profit in H1

Both divisions active in refractories, High Resistance Minerals and Energy Solutions & Specialties, returned to growth following a sluggish performance in 2016, while Ceramic Materials was weighed down by weak kaolin sales.

French industrial minerals groups Imerys increased both revenues and income in the first half of the year, as all divisions posted improvement with the exception of Ceramic Materials.

The group posted revenues of €2.22bn ($2.59bn) in H1 2017, almost 6% up year-on-year (y-o-y), while net income rose 9% to €172.2m....
