China’s chromite imports dip in June

Volumes of chromite entering China in June were 30% down against the previous month.

Chinese imports of chromite materials posted a double-digit decline in June on the back of low demand from metallurgical and chemical markets, latest statistics show.

Imports of chromite volumes into China fell 17% in June year-on-year (y-o-y) to 842,174 tonnes, valued at $202.05m, China Customs data shows.
