Chinese flake graphite prices rise again

As it happened with magnesia, the graphite market in China has gone through a lot this year, first with the cancellation of the export tax and sharp price drops, and then with a swift rebound in prices, as supply continues to be constrained.

Graphite prices in China increased further over the past week, as several suppliers told IM that the market may continue to appreciate in the near term on the back of renewed environmental inspections of facilities and restrictions to mining.
