Tianqi board approves Chinese lithium company acquisition

Tianqi Lithium has successfully acquired a major stake-hold in another Chinese producer and it reports smooth progress at its Australian facilities, while domestic production has been unaffected by environmental inspections.

Board members of Chinese producer Tianqi Lithium have approved the major stake-hold acquisition of Chongqing Kunyu Lithium Co Ltd, it announced on 5 September.

Following the transaction, Tianqi’s subsidiary Chengdu Tianqi Lithium will own 86.4% of Chinese producer Chongqing Kunyu Lithium....
