Lithium carbonate spot prices overlap hydroxide in China

Lithium carbonate prices move up, taking spot levels close to parity with hydroxide in China. Supply constraints remain the main reason behind the price increases with some producers and consumers talking about converting hydroxide to carbonate.

Lithium spot prices have risen in China with the spread between carbonate (Li2CO3) and hydroxide (LiOH) prices close to disappearing.

Tightness of lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) availability remains the main factor for the recent price uptick within the Chinese domestic market.
