Solvay to produce speciality resin in US

Demand for lightweight components from the aerospace industry will require additional capacity for new high-performance polymer production, which Solvay is adding to its plant in Georgia.

Belgian-headquartered chemicals group Solvay will start producing PEKK polymers in the US from early 2018 to support growing demand for composite materials from the aerospace industry, the company announced on 12 September.
