RHI to restart fused magnesia plant in Norway

The major refractory producer plans to increase fused magnesia production at its Norwegian site as Chinese supply continues to be curtailed by environmental control, pushing prices to record highs.

Austria’s RHI AG will be restarting its fused magnesia operation in Porsgrunn, Norway to ensure supply security as months of severe output cut in China disrupted the global refractory industry supply chain.
