Base Resources lifts its mineral sands production forecast

The mineral sands miner expects higher output from its Kenyan facility, while noting buoyant zircon markets and stabilising ilmenite demand.

Base Resources Ltd., the Australian-headquartered mineral sands company, lifted its ilmenite and zircon production forecast for 2016.

Base Resources, which operate the Kwale mineral sands mine in Kenya, lifted its ilmenite production forecast for 2018 by 20,000 tonnes, to 420,000-450,000 tonnes.
