Western Australia premier offers feedstock sweetener to Tronox

Legislation has been introduced to allow the TiO2 producer to increase its feedstock production in the state, a move which would allow the company to retain its unusual degree of vertical integration.

The Government of Western Australia is preparing legislation to allow Tronox Ltd to expand its TiO2 feedstock mining capacity, which would allow the company to stick with its strategy of vertical intergration, as pigment output rapidly increases following the acquisition of rival Cristal.
