Noranda owners buy ARC Fused Alumina

The white fused alumina operation in La Bâthie is now part of the group of US alumina and bauxite maker Noranda, after the European Commission required Imerys to divest it following a buyout from Alteo.

The parent company of US-based alumina and bauxite supplier Noranda has completed the buyout of French white fused alumina producer ARC Fused Alumina from current owner Imerys, which purchased it from Alteo last year.
