After a consultation period with market participants which ended November 1, Industrial Minerals has changed the assessment and publication frequency of its lithium contract prices from weekly to monthly.
As proposed in the
pricing notice published on 20 September, Industrial
Mineral's prices for lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide
traded on a contract basis will be published on the last
Wednesday of each month with effect from 1 November.
The first monthly market assessment will be conducted on
November 29, 2017.
While no formal feedback was submitted to Industrial
Minerals, during informal conversations some industry
participants expressed support for the proposal.
The affected markets are as follows:

packed in bags, CIF Asia, $/kg

Korea, $/kg

Reducing the assessment of the lithium contract prices to a

strengthen the coverage of the global lithium carbonate market-
a sector IM has been tracking since the 1980's.
