Tronox profits rise on higher pigment prices

Titanium dioxide prices raise revenues and profits, with zircon and pig iron prices also contributing to improved returns.

Titanium dioxide producer Tronox is the latest pigment company to report rising profits in the third quarter of 2017.

Sales at the company’s TiO2 segment in July-September rose by 28% year-on-year, to $435 million, as pigment prices rose.
