In the wake of failed tie-up with Axelta, Akzo snaps up Thai powder business.

Dutch paintmaker AkzoNobel will buy Thai powder coatings company V.Powdertech, part of a wave of mergers and acquisitions that is hitting an industry balancing rising coating demand with increased prices of titanium dioxide, its main raw material cost.
