European magnesia markets quiet at year-end

Fused magnesia (FM) prices in Europe have more than doubled in the second half of the year amid a severe shortage of material but have held steady this month, albeit at high levels.

The European magnesia market has remained stable through December while the availability of fused material remains extremely limited - prices are set to close 2017 on a high.
