Q1 ilmenite outlook mixed; Vietnamese quota announced for 2018

The price outlook for ilmenite is mixed heading into the first quarter of next year, with uncertain Chinese demand and a new 2018 export quota announced in Vietnam under scrutiny.

The prospects for ilmenite prices in the first quarter of 2018 are cloudy given continued uncertainty relating to environmental inspections in Panzhihua in China, suppliers and traders have told Industrial Minerals.
