Additional natural soda ash supply adds to pressure on synthetic producers

The concerns over supply and demand, drawn out by Eti Soda’s delayed entrance to the market, continue to raise questions for market participants. The concerns center around how synthetic producers can remain profitable.

The recent boost in available volumes of naturally produced soda ash has forced manufacturers of the synthetic equivalent to reassess their energy mix to minimize the costs of production.
