Corfo, SQM dispute comes to an end

The Chilean lithium producer has reached an agreement with the regulator after four years of conciliation talks.

The dispute between Chilean Economic Development Agency Corfo and Sociedad de Quimica y Minera SA (SQM) has concluded with a "satisfactory agreement," Corfo vice president Eduardo Bitran said in a press conference on Wednesday January 17 in Santiago, Chile.
