Chinese acidspar prices jump up by $100 on array of domestic factors

The fluorspar market has been left guessing as to the sole, or combination of, reasons that has left prices surging in the latest price assessment.

Chinese acidspar prices jumped by as much as $100 in a week to $480-520 per tonne for 97% CaF2, wet filtercake, fob China on Thursday January 18 from $400-420 previously, with market participants citing a host of reasons including the approaching Chinese New Year, factory closures due to weather and environmental controls...
