Chinese lithium carbonate prices down; European prices increase

Chinese lithium carbonate prices decrease this week, citing lower spot market activity, while European and North American lithium prices increase on improved consumption.

New energy vehicle (NEV) battery and cathode makers are still waiting for the Chinese authorities’ announcement regarding 2018 new subsidies policies, while producers and consumers look to reduce the amount of material in their stock due to the upcoming Lunar New Year period.
