Sand miners have invested huge amounts in production in the Permian Basin, but Texan 40/70 mesh frac sand still has to prove itself down-well.

The frac sand markets in the United States are gearing up for what is expected to be a massive shift in supply this year, when a huge volume of sand capacity opens up in the southern state of Texas.
