China magnesia market stable while mining restrictions continue

Prices in the global markets for magnesia products remained steady over the past week despite the challenges of mining restrictions, lackluster demand and reduced availability.

Chinese prices for all grades of magnesia were stable after the country’s public holiday on April 5-7, with most producers maintaining their current prices on thin interest from downstream buyers, while non-Chinese suppliers continued to report tight availability.
