CERAMICS EXPO 2018: Imerys to raise kaolin prices for second time this year in H2

Imerys will increase its prices for kaolin clay across three major markets in the second half of 2018, a sales director said at a major ceramics industry event last week.

Strong demand and upward pressure on prices caused by reduced competition have prompted Imerys to raise the price of kaolin clay produced from its UK mines by 3-5% in the second half of this year, Jerome De Lievre, sales director, minerals for ceramics, said.
