Imerys sells roofing business to focus on high-growth areas

The company will sell its roofing unit to a US-based private equity firm so it can focus on high-growth end markets.

French minerals major Imerys has agreed to sell its France-focused roofing business to US-based Lone Star Funds so it can turn its attention to high-growth end markets - with 5% growth and above - in performance minerals and functional additives.

The sale for the roofing division, Imerys Toiture, will be for €1 billion...
