IM24: China supply issues are a ‘leading cause of concern’ for market participants

Companies in the industrial minerals sector have lamented the current difficulties in planning and sourcing because of the continuing disruptions to export flows out of China of minerals such as bauxite, alumina and graphite, with the industry disheartened about prospects for a return to normal any time soon.

Policy developments in China and the continual hiccups in the country’s supply flows remain the principal causes of concern for the minerals sectors, according to delegates at the 24th Industrial Minerals Congress in Barcelona on June 5-7.
